More about Peloue's district uurso was hoard' at last night's meeting of the Borough Council when the Eev. J. A. Lochoro, chairman of tho district ■nurse' committee, wi'oto asking for a subsidy. Tho writer' stated that the committee had already raised £100 and with the ■assistance) hoped for from the' council, a little nioro money to come in and- tho Hospital Board's subsidy, expected to have enough to finance the first year of the nurse's activities. Tho committee would 'make ..application for, her appointment at tho next meeting of the Hospital Board and expected to have her actively employed in Petono in April or May. ■■■■■. Couneillqr 10. N. Campbell moved that £00 be provided, but Councillor D.' lU'C'arlhy thought that tho matter should bo held over until tho framing of the next estimates.. It.whs finally. docided, on tho motion of Councillor A. Scholeiield, that the matter, should be brought up for consideration at the nextmeeting of the council. ' '
