| YOUNG MAN KILLED . i_- . ' An accident occurred in the city last evening resulting in the death of a young man, Frederick, Ivan Eton, .. a well-known figure in sporting circles. In , company with three companions Eton was spending the evening at a house in Palmer street. Finding the weather warm, Eton and one of his friends went out for fresh air on to a balcony, from which •■ the deceased fell on to a concrete path some twelve feet below. When he l was picked up it was found that his neck had been broken. .„, > The deceased was an old boy of Wellington Collage, and played for the Old Boys' first XI; in the local senior cricket competition. .He was also a senior Association footballer, : playing formerly for.the J£arori team, and latterly for Y.M.O.A. When playing junior grade cricket he made a record score of 262. He was a son of Mr. E. H. Eton, of 76, Orangi-Kaupapa road, Northland.
