Countless motor-cars and large numbers of pedestrians began passing in nnxl out of the wharf gates soon after B'o'clock, and the traffic inspectors found it no easy task to control tho continuous stream of motorcars, taxis, commercial wagons, ancl Tricycles, w]iich passed through or in front of the gates.. The rush to and from the wharves continued for about three hours, and after that came the usual midday bustle.
