BREACH OF CONTRACT

In giving judgment in the claim made by David Milligan, merchant tailor, against Frank William Bedford for £800 damages for breach of contract, Mr. Justice Reed said ho found that there had been a breach by tho defendant of the agreement not to trade while employed by the plaintill' as chief cutter. The only thing thnt toiilil be said of the plaintiff was that he trusted the defendant too much. That, however, did not lie in the mouth of the defendant to say. In awarding damages, the Court was not entitled to punish the defendant. Judgment was given for £250, with costs according to scale. The plaintiff was allowed two' extra days' costs at £15 15s a day.
