MAGISTRATE'S COURT

To-day's sitting of the Magistrate's Court was presided over by Mr. E. Page, S.M. Arthur Brice, alias Brace, alias Wilson, aged 37, was fined £2 for his fourth offence of drunkenness, iv default seven days' imprisonment. Charged witli his second offence of drunkenness, Thomas Alexander Walker, a labourer, aged 46, was fined 10s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment. George Lawson, alias Gilbert Simpson, alias Lennox, a labourer, aged 22, admitted having failed to comply with the terms of his release on probation. He was sentenced to fourteen days' imprisonment, to bo served concurrently with his present sentence.
