Reports from the frontier indicate that the Afghan revolt is serious. Fighting continues round Jalalabad, where tho rebels attempted to undermine the town wall. • They were attacked by troops under an. Afghan commander, whose son was captured and shot. Hugiana tribesmen are holding up the Kabul road at Gandamuk, preventing the movement of Afghan reinforcements. Afghan aeroplanes bombed Shinwari and the villages round Jalalabad, causing v niany casualties. During the lighting on 3rd December the Sliinwaris had 800 casualties, while many were captured.
