TEAM ACCIDENTS
MOTOR-CARS BLAMED (By Telegraph.) N (Special to "The Evening Post") CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. "Either the trains go too fast or the motor drivers are not careful enough. Half the tram accidents are concerned with motor-cars," said Mr. J. A. Flesher at a meeting of the Tramway Board when' it was reported that of the twenty-one tram acideuts in October, ten were collisions with motor-cars. "The trams are all right," declared the chairman (Mr. John Wood). "The motorists are careless." Mr. W. Haywnrd: "I beg your pardon." "The motorists are too careless," repeated Mr. Wood. "Thank you," returned Mr. Hayward. (Laughter.) Mr. W. J. Walter considered that the motors were driven too fast, and the trams not fast enough.
