Mrs. Hilton Philipson, formerly Miss Mabel Russell, the well-known actress, who has been Conservative member of Parliament for Borwick-on-Tweed for six years, announced that she will not stand as a candidate in the next General Election. In a message published yesterday Mrs. Philipson gave tho call of her young family as her reason for retiring from politics.
