NO PARKING PLACE

DAY'S BAY CONGESTION" Councillor H. D. Bennett reminded the City Council last night of a former discussion regarding the parking of cars at Day's Bay. The position was intolerable. Would the chairman of the Works .Committee guarantee that something would be done? Councillor Luckic said that pinking regulations were not observed. There was a piece of reserve that would suit; it required a good deal of attention first. There would be danger of collision during the summer months if something were, not done. Councillor Aston suggested doing tho. necessary work nud charging motorists for parking there. Councillor Semple said that tho lack of control in parking made it often impossible to get one's car out through others. The Sunday traffic was heavy. "You know how the Reserves Committee has to beg rind pray for every penny," said the chairman of the Reserves Committee. Councillor B. G. H. Burn: "There was no money with which to do the work.'' Councillor Mitchell suggested putting a man on there on busy days to take charge.' The Mayor pointed out that tho park ing was not on tho reserve, but on the road, and if the council took charge there it also took responsibility. It was decided that tho committee go into the whole question.
