FUND STEADILY GROWING * Good progress in all activities and in the furthering of plans for the carnival was reported at a meeting of the General Committee of the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum Fund yesterday afternoon. Lists handwl in included donations from the Danish residents ot Wellington and £20 from tho Assyrian Society. The Mayor said that he had seen the Acting-Consul for China, Mr. Yue Jackson, and as a result letters would be forwarded to the different tongs' ot Wellington, from whom a good response was expected.
