CARNIVAL ATTRACTIONS
The programme for the Art Gallery and. Museum Carnival Fund is by no means yet complete, and in addition to the functions wliich are being arranged directly by the Carnival Committee other entertainments and übcial evenings will be held by the various bodies working for the eight queens of the "Dream of Fair , Women" Pageant. Already, however, the entertainment programme ia very promising. The main attractions are to be as follow:— October 27th.—Clement May (for "Iphigenia"), Concert Chamber; "Cleopatra" ball, Town Hall. October 29th.—"Atalanta" dance (Tui Orchestra 6), Small Town Hall. October 31st.—Rehearsal, Town Hall. November sth.—Queen Eleanor ball. November 6th.—"lphigenia" night, Town Hall. November Sth.—"Silk Stockings," Concert Chamber.. November 10th. —"Joan Vof Arc," children's fancy dress ball, Town Hall. November 12th. —"Queen of Sheba" ball, Town Hall. November 15th.—Rehearsal, Town Hall; "Bohemian Girl," Orpheus Society, Concert Chamber. ' November 16th.—Rehearsal (Miss Theil), Concert Chamber. November 19th.—"Iphigenia" ball, Town Hall. ' , November 21st.—"Atalanta" ball, Town Hall. November 22nd.—Full rehearsal, with orchestra, League of Nations Pageant; "Admirable Crichton" (Mies Theil). November 23rd. —"Admirable Crichton," Concert Chamber. November 24th. —"Admirable Crichton," Concert Chamber; Transportation Pageant and Mock Court, streets, and Newtown Park, 3 p.m.; Feast of Lanterns, streets and Newtown Park; fireworks, Newtown Park. November 25th.—Grand organ recital, Mr. Bernard Page, Town Hall. November 26th.—"Old London" and League of Nations Pageant, Exhibition Building. November 27th.—"Old London" and League of Nations Pageant, Winter Show Building. November 28th.—"Old London" and League of Nations Pageant, Exhibition Building: sports carnival, Basin Reserve. November 29th.—"Old London" and League of Nations Pageant, Exhibition Building; tho Palace of Beauty and the "Dream of Fair Women," Town Hall and Concert Chamber. November 30th. —"Old London" and the League of Nations Pageant, Exhibition Building; "Palace of Beauty" and "The Dream of Fair Women," Town Hall and Concert Chamber. December Ist;—" Old London" and The League of Nations Pageant, Exhibition Building; "Palace of Beauty" and "The Dream of Fair Women," Town Hall and j Concert Chamber; old-time cricket match, Basin Reserve. j December 2nd.—Grand Organ and Orchestral Recital with Choral Union, Town Hall (Mr. Bernard Page and Mr. John Bishop). December 3rd to 6th.—"Palace of Beauty" and "The Dream of Fair Women," Town Hall and Concert Chamber. December 7th.—University Joy Day, streets and Basin Reserve; Carnival Confetti Ball—Bal Masque—Winter Show I Building. December Bth. —"Palace of Beauty" and "The Dream of Fair Women," the League of Nations Pageant, Coronation Ceremony, Town Hall and Conceit Chamber. A meeting of Wadestown ladies was held yesterday afternoon for the purpose of nominating a queen and of electing officers to forward the campaign. Mr. Honey addressed the meeting, and it was decided to defer action until a later meeting.
