MR. F. T. BADCOCK RESIGNS As intimated in "The Post" on Saturday, Mr. F. T. Badcook forwarded a letter to. Mr. C. G. Wilson, chairman of the Management Committee of the Wellington Cri cket Association, tendering his resignation as the association's coach. The letter was read at last evening's meeting of the executive, when the resignation, which is to date from Friday next, was accepted with regret. ■ In his letter Mr. Badcock said he had accepted a permanent position with a business firm in Wellington. He hoped the work- he had done would bear good results, and expressed regret that he would not bo able- to carry on with it. After thanking Mr. Wilson and the various members of the Management Committee he had worked under, Mr, Badcock, in conclusion, said that lie was prepared; to. do his best at all times for the'.Kama'ill.1 Wellington..., . .. ....... .... ....;.,. "I don't think there arc any two opinions about it," said Mr. Wilson, "He has done an immense amount of good io our cricket in this province, and as a coach we shall have very, very great difficulty in replacing him. I trust that the position he has accepted will be for his future benefit." His only regret was that Mr. Badcock had not obtained a permanent position sooner to allow them to carry out the coaching scheme inaugurated by the committee about four years ago, Mr. D. M'Kenssie endorsed the chairman's remarks, and added that he thought there was no doubt that Wellington cricket had benefited as a result of Mr. Badcock's services.,
