WELLINGTON COLLEGE CARNIVAL.
Jt is expected that there will be a large crowd at the opening of the Wellington College Carnival on Friday afternoon. Her Excellency Lady Alice Fergusson will perform the- opening ceremony at 2.30 p.m. A full arrd varied programme of outdoor and indoor entertainments has been arranged, and m,any interesting novelties will be feature!!. The carnival will bo continued on Frijay evening and on Saturday afternoon and evening concluding with a cabaret dance, and an entertainment by Mrs. Dtfartyn Williams _ and pupils. The object of the carnival is to raise .funds'to floe*.- and equip the basement of the Memorial Hall as a gymnasium and social hall, and also to develop a now sports ground, which is urgently needed. '
