WELLINGTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
Spring lias arrived and bußis are In bloom. The message of these flowers is one of universal appeal, and Natlare lovers will welcome the display to lie even in the Town Hall to-morrow. Each year has seen- an improvement in the scope of the Wellington Society's exhibitions, and this year will be no exception. • Entries have been received, from as far afield as Taranaki, Hawkes Bfty, and Canterbury. \ The usual display from the Lower Hutt, Otaki, and suburban glowers will also be staged. Daffodils, hyacinths, primroses, and anemones will be seen in the latest and best varieties. A number of unnamed seedlings will. aJl>o be displayed for the first time. The slnj'W will be continued in ' the afternoon anfl evening. The official, opening by Their Excellencies Sir Charles and Lady Alice Fergusson i.s fixed for 3 p.m. The ladies of the society are providing cfcjiinty afternoon' tea, and will also run a flower stall for the sale of surplus blooms and seedlings. Special music has been arranged.
