"JOY JERQUES, 1928."

Those desirous of seeing something out of the ordinary will be specially catered for in "Joy Jerques, 1928," which will be staged by the pupils of the.V.M.C.A. Gymnasium, under the direction of Mr. J. A. Duffy, in the Grand Opera House, to-morrow and Monday, loth and 17th September. In the preparations for this production everything ia being done to please the public and provide an entertainment of a very high order. Three hundred pupils of the gymnasium will participate. The men's section will be represented in,skilful aud daring gymnastics, and the ladies will be t seen in the more rhythmic and graceful numbers. Boys and girls will take part in massed physical culture, .showing new movements and marches, and all in a unique and spectacular setting. The humorous side of the programme will be in the capable hands of Les Warner and his young, clowns, whilst the musical arrangements are in the hands of Mr. Frank Crowther's Orchestra. "Joy Jerques" will provide a bright programme, full of variety, depicting every phase of modern gymnastic training. This, together with the knowledge of the valuable work done in the Wellington V.M.C.A. Gymnasium, should command public support.
