SEATOUN TENNIS CLUB
The annual meeting of the Seatoun '£ennis Club was held last Tuesday. In the absence of Mr. Richmond, Mr. 11. P. Cooper presided over a large attendance of members and intending members. The annual report, which showed the club to be in a very satisfactory state, was read and adopted. An additional court has been laid 'down, and will be available for play at the opening of the season on Saturday, 29th September. A number of nominations for membership has been received. Last season the membership list had to be declared closed. For this season there remain a few vacancies for men only. Special provision has been made for fostering junior l'lay. On Mr. It. P. Cooper's relinquishing the position of secretary, which he had filled i'ov the past six years, a vote of thanks and appreciation for his valuable services was unanimously carried. The election of officers for the ensuing fears was as follows: —President, Mr. Tohu Rigg (re-elected); hon. secretary, Mr. K. E. Anderson; committee, Mesdames Smith and Staee, Misses Grubb and K. Murie, Messrs. D. R. Richmond, R. P. Cooper. A. Gibson, A. S. Murie, and W D. Murie.
