ALL OVER AUSTRALIA
NO LABOUK OFFERING FEAR OF FIGHT AHEA9 United Press Association—By Electric Tel* grapU—Copyright. (Beceived 11th Sept., 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. All vessels at, the Brisbane, Adelaide, and Tasmanian wharves were idle yeiterday. No labour offered at th» afternoon pick-ups. About thirty vessels are affected, including oversea* liners. The steamer Canberra has sailed from Townsville, the absent firemen returning to duty. There is no trouble so far at Fremantle, bat if afternoon labour is required there it will not be provided. A prolonged struggle at the present moment would be disastrous owing to the desire of shippers to get their wool away. Four million pounds' worth of wool is awaiting shipment. At Sydney nearly all tho wharf labourers presented themselves at the morning pick-up, but when calls were made for the afternoon pick-up the men refused to commence. There was also a general refusal to work in NewcasHo, Port Kembla, Hobart, Launceston, und Brisbane. If the trouble extends a general holdup of all shipping is anticipated.
