Interest in the chemicals market is displayed in citric acid, since for the time being it is definitely off the market as far as English manufacturers are concerned, and owing to shortage of the raw material it ia not known when the position will be relieved. Prices have been ■withdrawn. There is no change in the tartaric acid and cream of tartar markets. American glucose shows a fall on the week of 30s a ton for indent. English linseed oil is relatively steady with negligible fluctuations week by week of about %d per gallon. The American rosin market is described as "excited." English white lead for immediate and forward shipments recently advanced £1 per ton. Turpentine is steady in price, with no recent quotable change.
