BARRICADES AND POLICE CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Squadron-Leader Kingsford Smith has sent a warning that it is essential for tho public to keep behind the barricades. Ho emphasisos that there is extreme d -ger for anyone approaching within 100 feet of tho Southern Oross while the engines are running., He has asked for polico protection" for tho machino day and night, and also for provision to bo mado for the erecting of barricades at a distance of 50 foot around the machino, with instructions that no ono is to be allowed to enter the enclosure without written permission.
