The Government Meteorologist states that the intense southern disturbance which was over tho Southern Tasmart Sea yesterday is now east of New Zealand. The w«ather has moderated considerably over tho Tasman, and strong westerlies are ,likoly to continue over the southern parts of the ocean. „ The forecast is for fresh westerlies round Cape Leeuwin and from the Eastern Bight to Southern New Zealand, ■with moderate or rather, rough seas, the •weather moderating from tho westward.
