Hammond, of tho New South Wales Alliance, announced that tho Alliance was considering applying to tho High Court to-morrow for an injunction restraining the Chief Electoral Officer from holding tho liquor rofcreiidum on Saturday. Tho grounds for the proposed action are, Mr. Hammond alleges, that the liquor interests to-day in' the newspapers published an. advertisement which could be read as an official aunounceniont, with the electoral officer's signature attached, advising electors to vote against Prohibition, and that the advertisements were not signed by the advertisers- as', roquired by the Electoral Act. ,;.
