I MISS STOTT'S RESIGNATION ■ ■ ' Miss L. W. I. Stott, lady superintendent of the Wellington Hospital, has resigned owing to ill-health, after fourteen years' service. Miss Stott came from Scotland with high testimonials, and her work at the Wellington Hospital has won her the warm approbation of the board. Mr. F. ■ Castle; said that Miss Stott had been on sick- leave during tho past nine months, and although she had recovered a'good deal of her strength it was quite evident that her recovery was not sufficient to enable her to carry out the dutips of lady superintendent

of such a large hospital. Mies Stott was appointed assistant lady superinteudeut in 1914, and was promoted to bo lady superintendent in 1017. She had rendered excellent service, and maintained the nursing work at a high standard. The chairman also referred to the splendid services rendered by Miss Stott.' Since her appointment the work of the hospital had increased very much. He regretted that on leaving the Hospital at the end of the week Miss Stott would have to enter a convalescent home. He was suro he was expressing the desire of the board that she would speedily recover her health. Speaking on behalf of the lady members of the board, Mrs. Preston said they had had special opportunities of judging Miss Stott's work, and they were able to bear testimony to the excellent service she had rendered, and hoped she would soon bo restored to health. Miss Stott's resignation was accepted with regret.
