THE FINAL TEST

TEAMS ANNOUNCED NICHOLLS AND LUCAS IN HARVEY AS LOCK (Special to Press Association) (Received 31st August, noon.) CAPETOWN, 30th August. In the selection-of the New' Zealand Rugby .team to meet South Africa in the final Test on Saturday tho last position to be fillet! was that of the lock. If Harvey was fit it was agreed that he should go in ahead of Alloy, and Harvey now completes tho team. There is intenso interest in the match, and crowds are arriving from all over tho Union. Tho teams have been selected as follow:— NEW ZEALAND. Full-back: Lilburne. ' Three-quarters: Grenside, Lucas, Bobilliard. Five-eighths: Nicholls, Johnson. Half-back: Dalley. Wing-forward: Stewart. Forwards: Swain, Hadley, M. Brownlie, Harvey, Knlayson, Hazlett, M'Williams. SOUTH AFRICA. Full-back: Tindall. Wing-threequartcrs. Van Nickcrk, Morkel. Centre-threequarters. Van der Westhuizen, Rousseau. : " ..- Halves: : Bcnnio Osier, De Villiers. Forwards. Daneel, Mostert, Van Druten, Louw, dv Toit, Pretorius, Oliver, Nel. There was'much comment when the teams were announced. Tho selection of van Niokerk'aud Morkel as wing-j threequarters for South Africa created j surprise, as neither of them played in the other Tests, and only played against the All Blacks for the first time last Saturday, when they represented Western Province, Morkel scoring the Province's only try. The inside backs in the South African team are tho j same as for the third Tost, and the pack is not.changed. The local papers now give New Zealand more hope of winning, contending j that tho attack has been considerably livened up by the inclusion of Nicholls and Lucas. The all-important ques- I tion is getting the ball, and, if the New- Zealand forwards can do that, Nicholls and Lucas, it is considered, should turn out to be match-winners. REFEREE'S RECORD. Mr. V. H. Neser has again been selected as referee. He acted in the other three Tests, and probably establishes a record in controlling all four Tests. '
