A number of small shopkeepers in AVellingtou are petitioning Parliament for the repeal of the amendment to tho Shops ami Offices Act of last year, which has resulted in their . having to closo at tho hours fixed by the tobacconists. Petitioners state that many of them purchased the goodwill of their business before tho amendment was passed, and that thoy do not undersell the tobacconists; ■
