ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL
AUCKLAND v. WELLINGTON. Local followers of the Soeeer game will bo' provided with an entertaining programme to-niorrow afternoon at the Basin Eeserve. The Auckland representatives tied with Canterbury last season for the trophy, which was presented by the English Football Association, and is to meet the Wellington representatives who this season defeated Canterbury. Much interest has centred around the E.F.A. Cup this season, and the fact that Auckland is meeting the holders of the trophy should ensure a large attendance at the Basin Eoserve. The Wellington team has undergone several, alterations to that which defeated Canterbury. Longbottom roj places Leslie in the centre-forward position. Early visitors will have much to interest them in tho curtain-raiser, to bo played between a team from Flock House (Manawatu) and Waterside, winners of the local senior B championship. To-morrow will mark the closing of the Basin Beseryeto winter sports. . . -
