In the other semi-final Lott and Hennessey (U.S.A.), playing Cochet and Brugnon (France), took tho first two sets (5-4, C-4. The Frenchmen took tho next two 7-5, 7-5. Darkness prevented tho conclusion of the match. In the mixed doubles Miss Wade and Crocker defoated Miss Kico and Crawford, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3; Miss Edith Cross and Moon defeated Miss Clara Zincke and O'Council, 2-0, 6-1, 6-2; Miss Marjorie Mori-ill and Borotra defeatod . Miss Wade and Crocker, U-3, C-4; Mrs. h\ I. Mallory (New York) and Jlopman defeated Miss Sarah Palfrey (Boston) and Austin (England), 3-0, 7-5, 6-2; Miss Helen Wills and J. B. Hawkes defeated Mrs. Harper and Gregory (England), 6-1, G-0; Miss Editli Cross and Moon (Australia) . defeated Mr. and Mrs. Chapin, 4-6, 8-6, 6-0.
