,: INSTITUTE C, MA-lt-IST 3 The. replay of the Institule-Marist match in the Challenge Cup acini-final, made necessary by a drawn game the previous week, took place at Seatoun Park on Saturday. Institute, showing surprisingly good form, defeated Marist-by G goals to 3. The teams were: — Institute—Rogers; Gill, Bell; Bilby, Terry, Rusterholtz; Smith, Muddocks, Dickenson, Byng, Brownlee. Marist.—Hit-key; Thomas. Rudolph; A. Cudby, Kelly, Burke;. M'Elligott, Marshmen t, Condon, Cudby, Hennessey. Play had not been long in progress before good work by the Institute forwards gave Bilby .a chance "and he put through a fine shot. Institute 1, Marist 0. Institute, playing a fast, long-passing game, remained on the offensive, and soon Maddocks succeeded in again putting the ball past Hiekey. Institute 2, Marist 0. Marist rallied, and-'Cudby ou the left finished a good run with a beautiful rising shot. Rogers appeared to tip the ball well over the bar, but the referee awarded a goal. Institute 2, Marist 1. A little later the Greens obtained a. penalty kick, but Marshment shot wide. At-this stage an Institute player was, ordered off for disputing with the referee, and Institute continued-with only ten men. -The winners' third goal came from Brownlee, who had an easy shot from close in. Institute 3, Marist 1. .Within a few'minutes; Institute, still on the. attack, were conceded a corner,, and Maddocks neatly headed

through. Institute 4, ■■Marist 1.- Institute had easily the better of this half, their forwards making the pace throughout. . The second half was comparatively dull. Marist maintained a steady pressure, varied occasionally by Institute breakaways. Institute scored again when Dickcnson wont up the right-/wing by himself and centred for Browulee to bang the ball in. Institute 5, Marist 1. Strong attacking by' Marist had its result when .. Cudby, at inside-left, goalod splendidly. Institute. 5, Marist 2. Cudby and Condon were doing good work in the forwards, and very shortly the latter player scored from a mix-up in the goalmouth. Institute 5, Marist 3. With, time drawing near, Hickey' fumbled a shot from Maddocks, and Browulee, following up, rushed the ball through, to make the final score: Institute 0, Marist 3. .
