HUTT CLUB'S AFFAIRS.
The Huft Bowling and Tennis Club's annual meeting was held in the pavilion on Thursday night, Mr. A. Burgess presiding. The annual report showed that tho club had been successful in retaining the Dulhie Cup. one of its rinks (Messrs. C. F. Page, J. Mulliolland, I?. W. Baillie, and T. H. Noiris) had'won the M'Arthur Shield at tl'lo Easter Tournament, and the club had only been beaten by a few points for the banner of the new Jlutt Valley tournament. Tho membership stood at 80 players and 15 non-players in the bowling, section. 63 players and 2 non-players in the tennis section, and 20 players and 2 non-players/in the croquet section. The tennis section had had a good season. In the croquet section, Mesdatnes Johnson and Ayson had won the Association Club Pairs, Mrs. Johnson had been runner-up in the open championship tournament, and Mrs. Jcnness had won a handicap event, Mesdamea Eddie and Teaalo had won the ll'Kenaic Wristlets, aiid had held them for a short time, ami Mrs. ■Tohnson had won Mrs.- Jzaril's trophy.' The annual report and balance-sheet were adopted. The name of the club was changed from "Hutt Bowling and Tennis Club" to "Hutt Bowling. Tennis, nnd Croquet Club."
