TASMAN FLIGHT
MB. .NAPPER DISAPPOINTED (By Telegraph.) (Special to "Thß Evening Post.") CHEISTCHUBCH, This Day. The following cablegram from Captain KingsforcT Smith and Lieutenant TJlm was received yesterday by Mr. S. F. Nappor, of Christchurch, who is associated with the arrangements being made for the reception of Captain Smith and party when they arrive in Christchurch after flying the Tasmah Sea: "Eegret now unable to have you with us in Tasman flight. Writing fully.—Smith and TJlm." "I'm very disappointed at the nows," states Mr. Napper, "but. as Captain Smith has decided on the round-the-world flight he is taking the Americans with him. The latter have been very good to him, and he doubtless foels it would be unfair to leave them in Australia while ho comes to New Zealand." The Minister of Defence has granted permission for the use of Wigram Aerodromo by the airmen for the conclusion of their trans-Tasman flight, and has agreed that every assistance bj given by the Air Force staff stationed there. A telegram to this effect was received by Mr. P. B. Climie yesterday. The Minister has not yet received official notice of the intended flight.
