SOCIETY OF ACCOUNTANTS.

About eighty members attended at the luncheon yesterday which marked the opening of the 1928 session of the 'Wellington branch of the N.Z. Society of Accountants. Sir. 1?. H. Bass (chairman) presided, and after the luncheon Mr. B. W. Hunt, president of the New Zealand Society, gave a short but interesting address on the history and progress of the society and the future prospects of the accountancy profession.
