Tho annual conference of tho North Taranaki Farmers' Union yesterday ried remits emphatically opposing daylight saving, urging the Government to make it compulsory for electric power boards to earth wire fences where they are crossed by high voltage wires, urging the removal of«duties1 on linsocd cake and such cattlo foods, opposing tho duties and embargos on foodstuffs, and also preferential railway freight on imported goods.
