Tho President Garlield sank the freighter Kershaw off here onSPriday morning. Seven to twelve of tho crew were drowned and twenty-nino were rescued. The President Garfiold is a steel screwsteamer of 10,558 net tons, owned by the Dollar Line, and the Kershaw is of 2741 tons net, trading out of Baltimore.
