Carriers could not possibly bear the excessive taxation, and unless the Government relieved -the burden, many would be forced out of business. The following, officers were elected:— President, Mr. A. J. Curtis (re-elected); vice-president; Mr. ;R. M. Griffiths (reelected); executive,.Messrs. F. Marshall, B. Ginger, W. I. J.Blyth. W. D. Irons, J. Munt, J. .O'Brien, A., Smith, and G.
