The eastern part of the United States is in the grip of a violent snow storm and near zero temperature, which it is forecasted will continue for gome time. Many persons were injured in New York and Washington, and seven are dead in Chicago and the Great Lakes region. A negro burglar attempting to enter a shop was caught by a falling window and frozen to death.
