The principal results of yesterday's play in tho Auckland Provincial Lawn Tennis Championships were as follow:— Men's Singles.—Third round: Knott beat Lamb, 8-6, 6-2; Sturt beat Robson, 6-1, 6-2; Laurenson beat Lampe, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4; Bartleet beat Brinsden, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. Men's Doubles.—Second round: Grant and Nicholson beat Bartleet and Robson, 6-3, 6-4. Third round: Knott and Sturt beat Tonks and Christmas, 6-3, 6-1; Laurenson and Lampe beat Rowlands and Morrison, 6-2, 6-3. Ladies' Singles.—Third round: Miss D. Nicholls beat Miss M'Pherson, 3-6, 6-3, 7-5. Fourth round: Miss Ramsay beat Miss D. Miller, 6-0, 6-0; Miss D. Nicholls beat Miss P. Miller, 6-2, 13-11; Miss B. Knight beat Mrs. Scott-Wat-son, 8-6, 6-3. Ladies' Doubles.—Second round: Misses Ramsay and Nicholls beat Mrs. Scott-Watson and Miss Colebrook, 6-4, 6-4.
