LAWN TENNIS

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE Tho Management Committee of the Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Association met yesterday. Mr. M. E. F. Airey presided and the other members present were:—Messrs. M. E. Denniston, F. Cornet, G. F. Penlington, F. W. Beed, W. G. Morgan, and Wynyard Cobby (secretary). Messrs. Penlington. and Morgan were authorised to select a team to represent Wellington in the Anthony Wilding Shield match to be played against Canterbury next month. The resignations of Messrs. N. A. Foden and E. Beeves from the Management Committee were accepted with much regret. It was decided to apply to the NewZealand Lawn Tennis Association for the next New Zealand championships to be held on the Miramar grounds. The question of the disposal of the north stand erected for the French v. New Zealand matches was deferred, pending further information.
