BROKEN BYLAWS

Offenders against the bylaws were dealt with by Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., in tBB Magistrate's Court oa Thursday afteri noon. Using motor-lorries without having heavy traffic licenses resulted in George S, Hunt and Clarence Moore being fined £2 each. On two charges* John J. Moore wag fined £2 in each case. For having no heavy trafiic licenses, Arthur W. T«pp wad fined £1, and Samuel Walter Moult £& Moult was also ordered to pay IDs coefS for using a motor-lorry without having 2 h.eavy traffic license. For speeding the following were fined:-* Jack Jenkins, £3; Robert Burting, Denft Cartey, Walter Finch, John Shelly, LeoiS ard Wallis, Eric Woodg, £2 lOi each* Windon Billing, Kathleen Bollona, WalU* James* Braemar, Clifford Eskell, Herbert. Morgan, Roy George Ridley, Tod Stevenli Cecil Swan, Michael Templeton, Charles Watt, William Wilson, and Harold Vouren, £2 each. For speeding over ai intersection Leslie Dawson was fined £2. A fine of 10s each was imposed on thfj following for not having their vehiclespro. perly lighted:—Herbert Jones, Oscar Wyn. ten Schaef, and Alfred George Wood. Passing a stationary tramcar cost Petei Bardevea1 £2 and William Smith £L Bardeves was also fined 10s for turning a motor-cycle in Willis street. William Lepper was fined £3 for aeg« ligently driving a motor-lorry. For leaving a taxi more than twelve) inches from the kerb, Matthew LivingStone was fined £1. Thomas Francis M'Namara was ordered to pay 10s costs for allowing a horse to wander.
