KING'S THEATRE.
The popular actress, Laura la Dante, takes tho leading part in "Silk Stockings," which is the main attraction in tho change of programme at the King's Theatre. The plot of the story is simple, but Laura la Plante makes the most of her part, and her rich comedy work holds the attention from start to finish. BrieHy, the story concerns the domestic life of a strong-willed married couple. Naturally, everything is not peaceful, but matters reach a climax when Mrs. Thornblll discovers a pair of lady's silk stockings in her husband's coat pocket. Nothing short of a divorce will satisfy her, but after she Is granted the decree she is not quite sure as to whether she wanted it. the couple aro reunited. There is also showing a News, an Empire Bulletin, and a good comedy. The King's Orchestra supplies appropriate music.
