ALLEGATIONS DENIED

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. In reply to a signed statement made to the American Consul by four men of the ship West Tagus, Captain Wilhamsen, master of the vessel, and the chief engineer, Mr. Cordall, emphatically denied al lthe allegations of the men, including complaints in regard to the water supply and food. They denied the allegations of objectionable language and threats by the officers during the voyage from America. An outsider who had meals on the vessel substantiates the statements of the captain and chief engineer. One man, Baid to be the instigator of the trouble, was signed oS on Saturday, and the rest of the crew are working quietly to-day.
