TIMAKU, sth January. Mr. E. D. T. Lewis, Christchurch, ascended Mount Cook on Wednesday, accompanied by Guides V. Williams and J. Pope, i The party set out at 2 a.m. on Wednesday and returned at midnight the same day. They say the view was very clear from the top of Mount Cook, both east and west coasts being perfectly visible.
