KING'S THEATRE.
"Soft Cushions," Douglas M'Leau's latest romedy, heads the programme at the King's Theatre. Although the settings are Oriental, the action and titles are entirely modern. By judiciously combining Arabian Nights atmosphere with sags and titles, "Soft Cushions" achieves laughs by contrast, and the comedy action is roade doubly funny by the unique costuming and lavish backgrounds. "Lefty" Flynn is starred in "Glenister of the 3lounted," the second feature. A love story 3s woven into the picture, and the conflict between his duty and his oath on the one hand, and his unshakable belief in a girl's innocence on the other, affords Flynn an opportunity for some of the best acting of his screen career. Good supports and delightful music complete the programme. • The first of the Christmas attractions to be shown by the King's Theatre will commence next Friday at 2.30. Thcro will be daily matinees at 2.30 with the night presentations commencing at 8 p.m. "The Bugle Call."" a Jackie Coogan picture, head the programme, Jackie Coogan appears as a bugler, attached to a frontier post. Claire Windsor heads a strong cast of supporting players, including Herbert Rawlinson, who takes the part of Jackie's father, and Tom O'Brien, who is responsible for much of the comedy, as Sergeant Doplan.
