For tho sake of solidarity a party of nineteen trades councils and Labour branches disaffiliated for not expelling Communists have sent a letter to th« National Labour Executive urging thai the anti-Communist decisions -should not be enforced till members tt the party have taken a referendum; on the subject, and that meanwhile disaifiliated sections should be readmitted. If the referendum decides against tha -anti-Communist policy, it should be left to the branches to decide whether Communists bo admitted.
