NEW ZEALAND: OFFICERS
Tinder the scheme of inter-change of officers between the New Zealand and Indian Armies three New Zealand Staff* Corps officers, are leaving by the Ma-' rama to-day to undergo a period of two years', inter-change ,with British. regiments .in India. They are: Captain L. W: Andrew, V.C., late area officer at ■New Plymouth; Lieutenant A. W. Greville, late area officer'at Blenheim: and Lieutenant A. H. L. Sugden, of Christchurch. ,
The will be accompanied by Cap* tain P. J. Dillon, M.C., Eoyal Artillery, who, after two years' service as Adjutant, Coast Defence Artillery, Fort Dorset, is .returning to' his regiment in India. He.will be followed next week by Captain P. L. Villar, M.C., South Wales Borderers, who also has completed his two-year period of interchange in New Zealand as Adjutant of the Ist Battalion, Auckland Segiment. Advice has been received that .three "New Zealand StafE Corps officers/who have completed their two-year period of interchange with British regiments in India, are leaving .India to-day on their.return to New Zealand. They are: Major L. Potter, Captain J. G. C. Wales, M.0., and Captain'J. I. Brooke. . :,■■■■.- :
There are three other New Zealand Staff Corps officers who are at present in India, having completed one year oftheir period of inter-change and having still another year to serve. . Theyi are Captain J. A. M. Claehan, Captain-G. L. M'Caskill, arid Captain D. T: Maxwell. The last-named officer .was attached to one- of the regiments whish! went to Hong Kong, and haß just i:e« turned to.lndia. ■..■■.. ■ ■.•■.•; ■ .
The' three New Zealand officers -who" are leaving Wellington to-day nill fill fresh'vacancies in the Indian Army; which have been,created.by the inter* change of officers with. New Zealand. Two of these officers of the Indian Army are Captain A; le 6. Campbell; Highland Light Infantry (who has been acting as area officer at Wellington and whose period of inter-change has been," extended two years), and Lieutenant Dykes, Lancashire.Fusiliers. •
