Sir,—A walk through the streets o£ South Wellington should be sufficient to convince anyone of the.necessity of the local authority adopting some scheme to educate the people generally in practising the above rule in that busy suburb* I am informed that nearly everyone afc tends a picture show once a week; perhaps arrangements could be made with the proprietors to display the slogan on the screen. Also the school teachers could instruct the scholars, ami they in turn could advise their elders. Since the beginning of the year I have been in Dunedin, Christchurch, Auckland, Hamilton, and smaller centres in both islands, and the pedestrian traffic in South Wellington is the worst regulated I have seen.—l am t etc., :
