The Hospital Board yesterday approved the acceptance of the tender of £171 submitted by five members of the Wellington Amalgamated Society of Paintem and Decorators, for painting the Victoria Hospital. This figure represents labour only. A youth who, when seen drinking in a doorway in Old Customhouse street was ordered to move on, displayed his annoyance by throwing the bottle on the street. He paid for his petulance by being fined £1 to-day for throwing glass in a public place. .
