TEA MARKET.
Private cablegrams received from Colombo and Calcutta to-day indicate that in the former market commonest teas are weaker: 1 but other; grades rule firm. Crop prospects are described as more unfavourable than at first appeared. From Colombo it is ■ advised that there is less demand than last week. Common teas are described as steady, mediums irregular.
