TWO WORTHY OBJECTS
(To the Editor.)
, Sir,—The Mayor and his committee ]hay« doubtless done die right thing in 01 nanisms a fund to provide woriTfor tha uuemployed, and I feel sure, the cituens will help to see the trouble through. It ifcruck me that it would- be ah excellent, sebsune for the trustees of the Massey Memorial Fund and the Carillon fund to Imi ahead with their schemes.and so prolide work for the worklegs, as in:both these schemes their must be ijuit« a Jot.ol mnskilled work necessary before the main «>bjects come into being. Money for 'tin ac two funds was paid over some time ago by the public, and if it is possible to proceed with the elementary wort pf th« ac two very worthy objects surely the time has never been more opportune when it will serve the double purpose of. gettit c the object aimed at completed and giving ' work mid distributing money when it ti» so-sorely needed by our unemployed. knowing to whom on« should «IJdress these remarks, I take the Hbertv of asking you to publish this letter thai; it may meet the eye of the proper, autho • rities.—l am, etc., . . .
