Sir,—As a New Zealsnder, * resent tha statements made by the fiev. rW.-Lawiott jllarsi, of Devonport, Auckland; as published, in to-night's "Post," iii which h« describes young New Zealand *'.s going to the dogs per medium ,of {he hip flask at dances. Mr. Lawson Marsh, m" a newcomer, has travelled a long wa*: from hit native England to tell us about' New Zealand morals. However, let nre rjemind th« "^"^d gentleman that we hi* c no Piccadilly Parades, cocaine traffic bj! Chinese, hundreds of questionable night' clubs in our midst; and therefore life in New Zealand, is not so appallingly imifcoral a* ac would have us befieveT^. ' _ As for one of Mr. Lawson- Ma ish's intormants vrho says, "Life here iifotten, absolutely rotten; the moral* of! poultry ore clean in comparison"'; well he is some poor, misguided person.
