The Brooklyn Harriers: held a handicap race of five miles for the Cooke Cup on Saturday at Miramaf. 'The weather was so boisterous that it ob iterated the trail iv part. an d consequently the race.', was disappointing in that neyeral members missed the course. J?he -results were as follow:—J. B Bibbv ser , 1; D. Pedersen (40 ae c), 2j sV Jones (smin 30sec) 3. The fastest times were those of Bibby and Pedersen; Messrs P N. Den ton, and L. E. Poutnwera were timekeepers, and Mr. T. W.. Moore (president) the judge. At.the conclusion of the race the members were entertained by the bcottish Harriers, for whom three hearty cheers were given. The following team will represent the club -in the Wellington provincial championships to be contested at Hutt Park on 2Stlv June: G. C. Sherwood (captain), J. .B.Bibby, D. Pedersen, E. B. Davies' ' and J. Thornbrugh.
