FOLLOWING ELECTRIC SHOCK

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., 19th June ; An inquest was; held at Shannon on Saturday, .concerning. ,the death of Mark Orardmer, killed while working at No. 3 dam, Mangahao. The verdict was that death was due to .shock through sudden immersion in ice cold water. Evidence was given to the effect that deceased came in contact with a live wire, not sufficiently charged to kill-, him, but sufficient to knock him over. Deceased must then have,rolled off. the dam into the water. Gardiner had been warned 'to be careful, as another worker had received a shock .a'^-few hours previously in t,he same position.
